FINALIZED AGENCY JOIN PROCESS
Our consulting and management process adapts to your needs — whether you’re building new or optimizing existing operations.
STEP 1: Consultation (Mandatory)
-
Scheduled via Online — one-on-one consultation with Ann Myers.
-
Typically 90 minutes or less.
-
Purpose: Evaluate your goals, state readiness, and determine your agency’s pathway within MIC.
No one proceeds without this call. This is where the relationship starts.
STEP 2: Contract for Services Rendered
-
After consultation, MIC provides a Consulting Services Agreement outlining scope, deliverables, and fees.
-
This agreement includes all services covered under your package — such as registration, licensing, and compliance setup.
-
Payment for Services Rendered is due upon signing.
-
Once payment is confirmed, the contract becomes active.
Payment secures your spot and initiates onboarding.
STEP 3: Welcome Email & Onboarding Initiation
After payment, MIC’s Onboarding Department sends the official Welcome Email containing:
-
Links to the Agency Registration Form
-
The MIC Consent & Intake Form
-
Links to important pages: Agent Resources, FAQs, and Support contacts
You’re now officially in the system. MIC begins prepping your agency’s registration and framework setup.
STEP 4: Registration Department (Business Formation)
The Registration Department assists you in building your foundation:
-
Business entity registration (if you don’t yet have one)
-
State filings, EIN registration, and compliance documentation
-
Domain and business naming assistance (if applicable)
-
Drafting internal agency framework and initial carrier scripts
You do not need to be a pre-licensed business to start.
MIC can guide and register your entity properly.
STEP 5: Licensing Department (Agency Licensing & Credentials)
Once your business registration is approved, your file transitions to Licensing.
This department handles:
-
State insurance agency licensing applications
-
Licensing for the agency’s AOR (Agent of Record)
-
License procurement for additional states (if included in contract)
-
Verification and compliance submission
MIC ensures your agency is fully licensed and recognized by the state before carrier contracting begins.
STEP 6: Contracting & Carrier Appointments
Once licensing is complete, MIC’s Contracting Department coordinates:
-
Carrier appointments based on your business model
-
FMO introductions and setup
-
Assistance selecting the best FMO partnership (from both MIC-affiliated and independent FMOs)
-
Appointment submissions and follow-ups
You are not required to choose from MIC’s listed FMOs.
MIC supports your choice and facilitates integration with any compliant FMO partner.
STEP 7: Agency Integration & Management
After successful contracting, your agency is added to the MIC Network and introduced to your dedicated management team.
You’ll receive:
-
Official MIC network credentials
-
Access to internal compliance tracking and support
-
Optional add-ons like payroll setup or training management
Your agency is officially operational, compliant, and part of the MIC Network.
